Melanesian Brotherhood welcomes Bishop of Chester to the South Pacific

The Community of the Melanesian Brotherhood has made a special welcome to the Bishop of the Diocese of Chester in the United Kingdom – the Right Reverend Dr. Peter Foster at Chester Rest House on Friday 9th September 2016.

Diocese of Chester in the United Kingdom is one of the main supporter of the Melanesian Brotherhood in the Anglican Church of Melanesia. A relationship that started more than thirty years ago. The Rt. Revd Dr. Peter Foster is here purposely to witness and preach at the Consecration and Installation Service of Reverend Leonard Dawea in Lata on Sunday the 11th of September 2016. Bishop Peter Forster first visited Solomon Islands in 1999 and later on in 2010 when he came to open Chester Rest House extension wing. “Its good to be back and see all of you here after six years,” he said to the Brothers (Tasiu) at the welcome ceremony.
