The Rt. Rev. Julian Dobbs, Bishop of CANA’s Diocese of the East, has accepted the resignation of his archdeacon for the Northeast, the Ven. Wayne Buchanan. Bishop Dobbs declined to comment on the cause of the resignation, but confirmed the police were investigating Archdeacon Buchanan’s conduct while serving as rector of St Brendan’s Anglican Church in Bass Harbor, Maine.  “It is not something that is appropriate at this time” to discuss Bishop Dobbs told the Bangor Daily News. The Rev. Clayton Gilley, associate rector at St Brendan’s, has been appointed its interim priest in charge, the bishop noted. Mr. Gilley told the Daily News that Archdeacon Buchanan, who had served the congregation for over 18 years, had resigned last month.
