A St Alban’s vicar has been suspended from the ministry following his arrest on suspicion of rape

A St Alban’s vicar has been suspended from the ministry following his arrest on suspicion of rape. The Rev. Frank Coleman, vicar of All Saints Church in Upper Caldecote, Bedfordshire (pictured) was arrested in September by Bedfordshire Police and is currently on police bail pending a January hearing. Dr. Coleman has also been stood down as governor of the Upper Caldecote Church of England Lower School pending adjudication of the complaint. A diocesan spokesman acknowledged a “clergyman has been suspended from all duties. The suspension is a neutral act and implies no assumptions about the outcome of the police investigation.” The allegations are understood not to include charges of child abuse.
