These posts complement letters of greeting to the diocese posted Sept. 12 for Gallardo, rector of St. Luke’s/San Lucas, Long Beach; Mainwaring (pronounced Mannering), rector of St. Martin in the Fields, Atlanta; and McCarthy, canon to the ordinary of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles.

Approved by the diocesan Standing Committee, the nominees selected by the 19-member Search Committee were announced Sept. 12. 

The Standing Committee also has posted a process for petition candidates to apply before 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19.Set to succeed the Rt. Rev. John Harvey Taylor who will retire next year, the bishop-elect will take office July 11, 2026, during rites planned for All Saints Church, Pasadena.
