The Most Rev. Renato Abibico, Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Philippines 

Born on 2 Feb 1951 in Sabangan in Mt. Province, Bishop Abibico was reared in Sabangan and enrolled at Trinity College, Quezon City in 1967. He trained for the ministry at St Andrew’s Theological School in Manila from 1969 to 1974, earning Bachelor of Theology degree. He undertook advanced graduate work at the University of Edinburgh from 1992 to 1993 earning a Master of Theology and Development degree. Ordained deacon in 1974 and priest in 1975 he served at Holy Trinity Church, Bulanao Tabuk in Kalinga Province from 1975 to 1986 and as rural dean. From 1986 to 1997 he served as development and evangelism officer of the Diocese of Northern Luzon and was consecrated bishop on 11 April 1997 of Northern Luzonl Bishop Abibico was elected the 5th Prime Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church in the Philippines at the 9th meeting of the Regular Synod of the ECP held at Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City on 14 May 2014. He is married to Patricia Maliaman Delen and has two sons and three daughters. Since 1982 Bishop Abibico has been a member of the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines.
