I am delighted to announce that the Revd Julian Mann has accepted my invitation to become the new Minister of Emmanuel Church, Morecambe, Lancashire.

Julian is currently the Vicar of the Parish Church of the Ascension Oughtiridge in the Diocese of Sheffield, where he has served for eighteen years. His ministry has been noted for Biblical teaching, evangelism and work with young families.

He has degrees in Modern Languages and Theology and a Diploma in Journalism. He trained for ordination at Oak Hill College, London, being ordained deacon in 1996 and presbyter in 1997.

Julian is a fairly regular contributor to BBC Radio Sheffield on topical church issues. He is also a regular contributor of writings for Anglican Mainstream and Virtue Online.

In 2017 Evangelical Press published his book – Christians in the Community of the Dome.

He is married to Lisa and they have four grown up sons.

Julian and Lisa hope to move to Morecambe in September in time for his licensing at the end of October.

I thank God that he has provided a new minister for this historic church and look forward very much to welcoming Julian and Lisa into our Diocesan family.
